ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE STATE GUIDANCE: HOW TO INCORPORATE EQUITY & JUSTICE INTO YOUR STATE CLEAN POWER PLANNING APPROACH (PDF Updated March 7th, 2016)

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is the federal government agency responsible for protecting our environment and the health of the public. The EPAs Clean Power Plan is the first ever Rule to reduce carbon dioxide pollution from coal fired power plants.  The EPA is set to release the final rule very soon. At that time, every state will be required to come up with a plan as to how they will reduce dirty emissions. To make sure that the plans are created and implemented in an equitable way, we hope that you will join in our campaign to educate, empower and engage YOUR community to fight to bring clean air and clean energy to your homes.  We hope these resources will be helpful! If you have any concerns, questions or are in need of additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us at (202) 495-3036.  This page will continue to be updated over time.
